On the last day of the conference, Thursday August 21st, we plan to visit Steven’s Institute of Technology for a tour of the renowned Davidson Laboratories which engages in coastal research including hurricane threat assessment and protecting coastal areas from flooding as the result of severe weather. We will have lunch at the Institute with spectacular vistas overlooking New York Harbor and the southern part of Manhattan. We will finish the day with a harbor cruise allowing for a different view of the “Big Apple”. Our tentative detail schedule appears as:

09:30 – 10:15: Bus ride from CCNY to Stephen Institute of Technology.
10:15 – 10:30: small break
10:30 – 12:30: Scientific tour at SIT
12:30 – 14:00: Lunch
14:00 – 16:00: Harbor Cruise
16:00 – 17:00: Bus ride from SIT to CCNY (stopping at the “cliff” for an evening view of the city).
